House Rules
HOUSE RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Visiting the 2026 World Rowing Championships and/or participating in any of the activities is entirely at your own risk.
Admission
- Entry is only permitted with a valid ticket.
- Re-entry is not permitted. Once you leave the event grounds, you cannot re-enter.
- The organisation reserves the right to inspect bags, coats and visitors. Visitors may be searched. Failure to cooperate may result in refusal of entry.
- Visitors are required to follow all instructions given by the organisation, security personnel, traffic marshals and other event staff on and around the event grounds.
Safety
- Entering the water is prohibited. This is for your own safety and that of the rowers.
- Emergency exits, escape routes and access ways must be kept clear at all times.
Prohibited items
The following items are not permitted on the event grounds:
- Bags larger than A4 size or more than 10 cm thick, and any items too large to fit underneath a grandstand seat.
- Outside food and beverages, including glass, cans, plastic bottles, alcohol and cool boxes. An empty refillable water bottle is permitted.
- Drugs and nitrous oxide.
- Weapons and dangerous objects, including replica or weapon-like items, fireworks, flares, camping stoves, disposable barbecues and aerosol cans, except sunscreen, deodorant and perfume.
- Umbrellas, folding chairs and stools.
- Loudspeakers, horns and similar noise-making devices.
- Flags on poles longer than one metre.
- Provocative or politically charged expressions, whether on clothing or otherwise. The event is politically neutral.
- Promotional materials, flyers, leaflets, banners and other advertising material.
- Professional film, photo and audio equipment, selfie sticks and drones (both on the ground and in the air), unless approved or accredited by the organisation.
- Pets, except assistance dogs.
Visitors may bring a smartphone, a small digital compact camera or a GoPro for personal use.
Confiscated items will be disposed of and will not be stored.
Behaviour
- Disruptive, aggressive or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.
- The organisation reserves the right to refuse entry or remove visitors from the event grounds based on their behaviour.
Alcohol and smoking
- Visitors under the age of 18 are prohibited from purchasing, accepting or consuming alcoholic beverages.
- The organisation reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to visitors who are intoxicated or behave inappropriately.
- Smoking is prohibited on the event grounds.
Photography, video and audio recordings
Photographs, video and audio recordings will be made during the 2026 World Rowing Championships. By entering the event grounds, you consent to appearing in these recordings, which may be used for promotional, commercial and security purposes.
Recording with professional video, photographic or audio equipment is only permitted with prior approval or accreditation from the organisation.
Liability
The organisation and its staff cannot be held liable for the loss, theft of or damage to visitors’ belongings.
Final provision
In any situation not covered by these House Rules and Conditions of Entry, the organisation’s decision is final.
