🚣‍♂️ The Bosbaan: 90 years of elite rowing on the road to 2026!

Since its construction in 1936 as an employment project, the Bosbaan has grown into an iconic rowing venue. From 5 lanes to 6 (1964), and since 2001 a full 8-lane championship course.

With highlights such as the World Championships in 1977 and 2014, the U23 World Championships (2005 & 2011), World Juniors (2006) and World Cup/Holland Beker (2007), the Bosbaan has more than proven its international status.

🦺 In preparation for the 2026 Staatsloterij World Rowing Championships, the course will undergo a major renovation, without changing its character. 💚We’ll be sharing more about this soon! ...

Everyone belongs at Gyas, from elite rowers to casual competitors and active committee members. They’re the largest rowing club in the Netherlands and always racing at the top, nationally and internationally.
